Our San Francisco story
In 2012, two friends decided to pursue a big idea: To help millions of everyday people achieve financial peace of mind. And just like that, Chime® was born.
Things started in a co-working space, and then Chime opened our first office. Since then, we’ve grown our team and expanded into a space of our own at 101 California Street. SF Chimers come into the city from the North Bay, South Bay, and East Bay to work in a shared space, break bread together daily in our on-site cafe, and enjoy office events IRL. Our San Francisco office represents the roots Chime planted for our company to grow from—to our other offices and remote Chimers, and the many ways we’ve expanded our impact in communities across the country.
