Diversity, Equity, and Belonging at Chime
We’re building a community of talented, mission-driven Chimers capable of delivering transparent and fair products to our diverse member base.
Why DEB matter at Chime
Chime has unlocked financial progress for millions of everyday people through our innovative products and services. Yet, our continued success is dependent on our ability to build trust across multiple groups:
Members must trust Chime as a partner in their financial lives.
Candidates must trust Chime as a place where they can grow and thrive.
The public must trust Chime as an ethical and responsible company.
Fostering diversity, equity, and belonging at Chime is the best way to build trust among each group and expand our impact.

About Diversity, Equity, & Belonging at Chime
Creating trustworthy products and experiences for our members requires a unique blend of empathy, talent, and creativity. Therefore, we center our approach to diversity, equity, and belonging around three pillars:
Ensuring our talent practices are merit-based, fair, and transparent so that we bring in and retain great employees.
Immersing Chimers in the everyday experiences of our members so they understand how to build for the unique needs of our diverse member base.
Supporting leaders to foster the sense of belonging and trust needed to build high-performing teams.
By centering ourselves around these three pillars, we will build the right mindset, culture, and processes to serve our members effectively.
At Chime, there’s a community for everyone.
We’re committed to creating safe, inclusive, and collaborative environments for employees to do their best work. We invest in programs and events to help Chimers find community, regardless of location. Chimers can connect with like-minded colleagues based on shared experiences, interests, or identities.
Our Chimer Resources Groups, or CRGs, provide community, support, and education to every Chimer, reminding us that we’re all in this together. Any Chimer is welcome to join any CRG and build connections across the company. CRGs meet regularly, host events, and partner with community organizations to expand their impact beyond our team.

In Chimers’ words
Every Chimer contributes to our work of creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace. Hear from a few Chimers who are members of our CRGs.

CRGs are important for creating a connection with others. It’s not just about finding other Latin American employees, but about discovering the diversity of experiences and backgrounds within our group and beyond. Sharing our cultures at work helps us find common ground and build understanding, which makes us better at working together.
Yesenia M. (she/her), Senior Manager, Internal Audit & SOX

As a member of AfroChime, I feel I can show up as my true self and receive love, acceptance, and understanding from the group. The conversations we have are so meaningful and our events and gatherings — when we come together unapologetically and in fellowship — help us get to real conversations and connection.
Chris M. (he/him/his), Senior Program Manager

It’s more common now for companies today to have ERGs, but I’ve never experienced a company like Chime where our CRGs are at the forefront of company culture. In many ways, the strongest community I’ve ever felt with my own heritage has been at Chime — I really look forward to any opportunity to engage with my fellow PacifiChimers!
Jackie C. (she/her/hers), Chief of Staff

The best way to make others feel welcome is to find common ground. We’re so lucky to live in a world where there’s no way you don’t have common ground with someone—whether you’ve tried their favorite food, traveled somewhere relevant to them, or are an ally to their community. That common ground can make you feel more comfortable and, over time, like you belong.
Aviva M. (she/her), Data Analyst, Risk

For me, it’s important to show that you can work in tech, in fintech, or in any industry, and show up as yourself — I haven’t always been lucky enough to feel supported bringing my entire self to work. Chime is a supportive environment that encourages diversity of thought and perspective, which is refreshing.
Amy S. (she/her/hers), Director, Recruiting
